This English translation is provided for convenience. The French version remains the legally binding version. These documents are governed by French law.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored and/or read on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you browse a website.
Cookies may be used to:
remember your preferences (for example, the site language); maintain a user session (login, account); measure site audience and usage; deliver personalised content or advertising.
The term “cookies” is used here for convenience and also covers other trackers (local storage, invisible pixels, technical identifiers, etc.) subject to similar rules.
2. Who places cookies on the GT7 EngiRace website?
Cookies and trackers used on https://www.gt7engirace.com may be:
first‑party cookies placed by the Website publisher: GT7 EngiRace, operated by sole proprietor DUPIN Valentin;
third‑party cookies, in particular:
- Clerk (authentication / session management);
- Stripe (secure payment process, checkout.stripe.com);
- Vercel (hosting provider – possible technical infrastructure cookies);
- Google Analytics (audience measurement – analytics cookies, see section 3.2).
At present, the Website does not use cookies or trackers for targeted advertising, nor marketing tools such as Meta Pixel. Google Analytics is used only for audience measurement and visit statistics (measurement ID: G-MXPLMK3VCM).
3. Overview table of cookies and trackers
The table below summarises the categories of cookies currently used or likely to be used.
The exact technical names of cookies may vary depending on the version of third‑party services (Clerk, Stripe, Vercel). The list is indicative and may be updated.
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies (exempt from consent) These cookies are necessary for the Website to function properly and to deliver the service. According to CNIL guidelines, they are exempt from consent, but are still described for transparency.

| __session / Clerk session cookies | Maintaining the user session, managing authentication (login/logout, account security) | Strictly necessary (authentication) | Session (deleted when browser is closed or after inactivity) | Clerk (third‑party, USA) |
| Clerk technical cookies | Security, fraud prevention, authentication flow management | Strictly necessary | Session or limited technical period | Clerk (third‑party, USA) |

In line with CNIL recommendations, such trackers require consent unless they strictly qualify for an exemption. You may refuse or delete these cookies via your browser settings (see section 6). A consent management banner may be added later to formalise acceptance or refusal.

4. Strictly necessary cookies – justification
The following cookies are considered strictly necessary for the operation of the Website and delivery of the requested service:
Clerk session / authentication cookies: they maintain your login status and secure access to your account, credits and setups; without them, you cannot use account‑based features; NEXT_LOCALE cookie: it stores your language preference, which is essential to display the Website in your chosen language; Stripe cookies on the payment page: they are necessary for secure payment, fraud prevention and correct execution of the transaction; Vercel technical cookies: they ensure the technical operation of the Website (security, routing, performance).
In line with CNIL recommendations, these cookies are exempt from consent, because they are:
strictly necessary for providing a service explicitly requested by the user; or strictly necessary for the Website’s technical functioning.
5. Cookies subject to consent – advertising (future)
If GT7 EngiRace decides to enable in the future advertising / marketing cookies (for example Meta Pixel or similar), these trackers will be placed only after:
displaying a clear cookie banner; obtaining your prior consent for non‑essential purposes; allowing you to refuse non‑essential cookies from the first level of information.
Detailed parameters (exact cookie names, duration, purpose, provider) will then be added to this cookies policy.
6. How to manage / refuse cookies?
You have several options to manage and refuse cookies:
Browser settingsYou can configure your browser to:
accept or refuse cookies case by case; refuse all cookies systematically; delete previously stored cookies.
These settings are generally found in the “Options” / “Preferences” / “Privacy” section of your browser.
Manual deletionYou can delete cookies stored on your device at any time via your browser settings.
Cookie banner (if enabled)When advertising cookies subject to consent are activated, a cookie banner will allow you to:
accept or refuse non‑essential cookies; change your preferences at any time (via a “Manage cookies” link or similar).
The Website currently uses strictly necessary cookies and Google Analytics audience measurement cookies (section 3.2). You may refuse or delete analytics cookies via your browser settings. This policy provides the required information.
7. Consequences of refusing cookies
Refusing strictly necessary cookies (Clerk, Stripe, Vercel, NEXT_LOCALE) may prevent or seriously affect:
access to your user account; management of your credits and setups; secure payment; correct display of the Website (language, performance).
Refusing analytics cookies (Google Analytics) will not prevent access to the core service, but may limit the publisher’s ability to measure audience and improve the Website.
Refusing advertising / marketing cookies (if enabled later) will not prevent access to the core service, but may limit:
the publisher’s ability to measure audience; any potential content personalisation.
In any case, you will still be able to use the essential parts of the service, provided you accept strictly necessary cookies.
8. Consent validity period
When cookies subject to consent are activated, your choice (consent or refusal) will be stored for a maximum period of 13 months, in line with CNIL guidelines. After this period, the Website will ask for your consent again via the cookie banner.
