Community Contribution Charter (UGC)

Article 1 – Purpose of the Charter
1.1. The Charter aims to regulate user contributions intended to enrich GT7 EngiRace’s community database of GT7 setups.
1.2. It applies in particular to:
sharing presets via the “Save to community” feature; contributing setups via the /contribute/setup form; importing setups in JSON format via /import; submitting car setup limits (car‑setup‑limits); positive feedback (likes) that may lead to community sharing of a setup.
Article 2 – Licence granted to the publisher
2.1. By submitting community content (preset, setup, limits, JSON, etc.), users grant the publisher a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide licence to:
host the content on the service’s servers; display it to other users (search results, suggestions, lists); adapt it, including through AI tools, to make it compatible with new versions, tracks, cars or formats; redistribute it to other service users as part of GT7 EngiRace features.
2.2. This licence is granted for the technical lifetime of the content within the service, subject to deletion rights set out in Article 9.
2.3. Users retain their rights in their original content but may not oppose technical adaptations (format conversion, translation, AI enrichment) required for the service to function.
Article 3 – Contributor warranties
3.1. Users represent and warrant that:
the submitted content is original, or they hold the necessary rights to publish it; the content does not infringe third‑party rights (copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, etc.);
the content does not include illegal material, including:
- offensive, hateful or discriminatory statements;
- pornographic or violent content;
- incitement to cheating or organised fraud in competitions.
3.2. Users undertake not to include unnecessary personal data or sensitive data in their contributions (e.g. full names of third parties, addresses, etc.).
Article 4 – No remuneration
4.1. Contributions to the community database are voluntary. Contributors are not entitled to any systematic remuneration.
4.2. The publisher may, at its sole discretion, grant bonuses (e.g. additional credits) as a token of appreciation for valuable contributions, such as:
high‑quality car setup limits; community setups that receive significant positive feedback (likes).
4.3. These bonuses are commercial gestures without any commitment regarding duration or repetition and do not create any acquired rights for contributors.
Article 5 – Moderation and content removal
5.1. The publisher may moderate community content, either proactively or following user reports.
5.2. The publisher may in particular:
refuse to publish certain content; de‑list presets deemed obsolete, inaccurate or of low relevance; delete any content that is illegal or contrary to the Charter or the Terms of Use.
5.3. Users may report problematic content via available contact channels (contact forms, email, etc.).
Article 6 – No warranty on community presets
6.1. Community presets, setups and car limits are user contributions.
6.2. The publisher does not warrant:
the accuracy of presets; their performance in races; their continuous compatibility with all game updates.
6.3. Use of community presets is at the user’s own risk, and users must test and adjust them to their driving style and needs.
Article 7 – Publisher’s liability as hosting provider
7.1. For community content, the publisher generally acts as a hosting provider within the meaning of applicable French law (LCEN).
7.2. The publisher is not subject to a general monitoring obligation but will promptly remove any manifestly illegal content reported in a sufficiently detailed manner.
7.3. The publisher’s liability is limited as provided under applicable hosting regulations.
Article 8 – Data and link with the user account
8.1. Setups, presets and other community contributions may be linked to the user account (via a Clerk userId or similar).
8.2. This link allows, in particular:
displaying the author (nickname or identifier) in certain contexts; managing possible contribution‑based bonuses; facilitating deletion or modification of content upon user request.
8.3. Processing of these data (identifier, email, contribution history) is described in the service’s Privacy Policy.
Article 9 – Deletion of contributions and termination
9.1. Users may request deletion of one or more of their published contents, to the extent technically feasible (via interface or upon request).
9.2. In case of account deletion or termination:
certain contents may be anonymised (removal of the link to the user identifier); depending on technical feasibility and community impact, contents may be removed or maintained in anonymised form.
9.3. The publisher will make reasonable efforts to honour deletion requests, but cannot guarantee complete removal of content that has already been integrated into other setups, derivatives or histories.
Article 10 – Changes to the Charter
10.1. The publisher may amend the Charter to:
adapt community rules as the service evolves; reflect new practices, features or legal requirements.
